Put Some Colour Into Your Life!

According to a recent study published in The Telegraph earlier this month, “wearing clothing with a splash of colour can make you look more imaginative and lead to pay rises and promotions…The reasons seem to be two fold – wearing colour makes us feel better and gives others the impression that we are more confident and creative.”

This is certainly true for me. When I have to give a presentation, I will often reach for Artigiano city chicsomething red because it makes me look and feel confident and upbeat.

If you’re living your life in black, you really are missing a trick, you know.

Not only can wearing colour make you (and the people around you) feel better, it can also make you look healthier, younger and more attractive.

There’s no denying that black can be chic and slimming but so can countless other colours – How about pine, navy, charcoal, damson, plum and burgundy, to name but a few? Besides, what makes the biggest difference to how slim you look is the cut rather than the colour of what you wear. Once you understand the styles and fabrics that work best for your body shape, scale and proportions, you’ll never feel the need to hide behind black again.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m certainly not saying that you should expunge every item of black clothing from your wardrobe. Actually, some people look good in black and not many could afford to invest in a whole new wardrobe anyway. Most of us though could do with adding interest and personality to our outfits and this is easily achieved by adding some colour. That’s why during a Colour Analysis I not only show you your best colours but also how to wear the colours you already have in your wardrobe in a more flattering way.

So please stop hiding behind black and put a little colour into your life and perhaps even a little more money into your pay packet! Read more about the study here.
