When you come to me for a style consultation I’ll tell you which fabrics and textures will work best for you; your body shape, your lifestyle and your budget.
For me, the ultimate luxury fabric for Winter has to be cashmere, once you pull on a cashmere jumper you will never want to take it off! As well as feeling amazing, cashmere is also extremely practical; offering warmth in the Winter and keeping you cool during warmer months. It rarely pulls and doesn’t crease, so although it is often hand-wash only, which I’ll admit is less than ideal, it does travel and wear very well.
You will certainly pay more for cashmere than other yarns but if you take care of it your cashmere will last for many seasons to come. A cashmere sweater or cardigan is a fabulous wardrobe staple which can be dressed up or down. Wear yours casually with jeans and a maybe a co-ordinating scarf or chunky beads or, for a more formal classic look, with pearls, a silk shirt and pencil skirt.
There are some amazing cashmere pieces to suit all styles this season and many are currently reduced in the sales so now is a great time to buy. You might like to check out…
