Media & Talks

I am the “style expert” for the BBC Radio Solent Alun & Lou Show and have also appeared on the Sarah Walker Show on BBC Radio Berkshire.RadioBerkshire crop You can get a flavour of what I do from this clip from  the BBC.

I have also been featured in Hampshire Life on several occasions. I very much enjoy working with the media and am open to other opportunities.

I also enjoy giving talks and demonstrations to businesses, clubs, colleges and societies.  I have been engaged to provide lectures to Solent University students as part of their Writing Fashion and Culture degree course and also to advise students at Portsmouth University Business School and Southampton City College on personal and professional branding.  For the past four years I have been engaged to give talks and demonstrations for Winchester Fashion Week.

I always ensure that my presentations interactive, enjoyable and informative. I can cover topics such as:

  • Wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear?
  • Style tips and tricks
  • Putting colour into your life
  • Dressing for business
  • Personal branding
  • Capsule holiday wardrobe

All talks and training sessions can be tailored to your specific requirements.

“Thank you Nicola for a wonderful presentation at our Ladies Evening in aid of Comic Relief.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and was able to gain a lot of relevant information about colour, style and fashion.  We are so grateful to you for giving up your time to give a comprehensive and professional insight into how we can all make the most of ourselves”  Nicky Williams, Marketing Manager, Bodysound Health and Fitness.

What a great experience for our students who are getting work-ready for customer facing roles. Nicola delivered an excellent session on Dressing to Impress at Interviews… The students were engaged for the whole two hours and full of fun and laughter after the session. I have even seen some moving out of their comfort zones of clothing to experiment with their recommended colours. Thank you so much, Nicola! Angela Parkes,  Course Tutor, City College Southampton
